Privacy notice
1. Who we are
Socialcave Ltd (company number 16383008, registered office 15 James Wolfe Road, Cowley, Oxford OX4 2PY, United Kingdom) is the controller of the personal data described in this notice. If you have any questions about it, email info@socialcave.co.uk.
2. The data we collect
- Information you give us: your name, business name, email address, website or Google listing, industry, the bundle or add-on you are interested in, and anything you tell us by email or WhatsApp.
- Client information: billing contacts, invoices, project notes, and any account access you share so we can deliver our services.
- Website usage, only if you accept analytics cookies: pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location and how you reached the site, collected by Google Analytics.
We do not knowingly collect special category data, and our services are not aimed at children.

4. Who we share it with
We never sell personal data. We share it only with providers who help us run the business, under contracts that require them to protect it: our website host, our email and office software providers, Google (for analytics, only with your consent), our accounting software, and professional advisers such as accountants or lawyers. We may also share data where the law requires it.
5. International transfers
Part of our team works from our office in Pune, India, and some of our providers store data outside the UK. When personal data leaves the UK we protect it with an approved safeguard, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or a UK adequacy decision.
6. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become work: up to 24 months.
- Client and financial records: 6 years after our work ends, as UK tax law requires.
- Analytics data: up to 14 months.
- Marketing preferences: until you unsubscribe.
7. Keeping it secure
We use access controls, encrypted connections (HTTPS) and reputable providers, and we limit access to the people who need it. If a data breach is likely to put you at risk, we will tell you and, where required, the Information Commissioner's Office.
8. Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or move it to another provider. Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time. Email info@socialcave.co.uk; we will reply within one month and there is normally no charge.
9. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
10. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
